A Natural Home (ANH) is a start-up nonprofit 501(c) 3 organization providing homes to adults with developmental disabilities. The disabilities include cerebral palsy, mental retardation, and other developmental disabilities. This organization was founded by a sibling of an adult with disabilities concern about housing for adults with developmental disabilities. ANH has a special interest in keeping residents in their natural home or providing a home for adults with similar disabilities. Our objective is to provide family-like homes for unrelated adults with disabilities. A Natural Home (ANH) provides secure, protective and cheerful homes for adults to grow both emotionally and mentally, in a stress-free and stable home environment with lasting and positive friendships. Our residents thrive in a stress-free home with other adults with similar disabilities. ANH creates an environment with establish routines that adults with disability can follow in order avoid upsetting and disrupting their lives. Included in this routine in addition to their day program, are social gatherings given by organizations, special sunday school service, fellowship lunches, birthday celebrations, and annual summer vacations with a group of other disabled adults and their caregivers.
Our mission is to not just meet, but to anticipate ours residents’ needs. We know that many of our residents will not be able to verbally tell us what they need so we will anticipate and respond to their nonverbal communication. ANH provides physical and emotional support, and understands that every individual desires to achieve their full potential. Our supervised homes providing opportunities to further develop skills and independence. We provide services for adults who need 24 hour care. Each home is staffed with caring and professional caregivers who anticipate the needs and uphold the respect in the daily lives of their residents.
